2017 Adventure Friday Day Camps

Our Adventure Friday Day Camp programs for youth ages 9—15 will be led by trained, caring 4-H Youth Development Professionals who desire to share their passion for the outdoors and love of adventure and learning with youth. Come spend time exploring , discovering, leading, and making friends in nature’s classroom!

Schedules subject to change. Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up will be at the 4-H Center. Lunch is not provided by the 4-H center.

Assorted Adventures ($28)
June 16, 9AM-4PM
Registration deadline: June 9
A taste of some the adventure the 4-H Center has to offer. Join us for canoeing in Lake Culpeper, Archery on our private range, hiking to the Appalachian Trail, and testing your comfort zone on our climbing wall.

Challenge Course Adventure I ($28)
June 23, 9AM-4PM
Registration deadline: June 16                    If you have never participated in high altitude activities or you are just a little rusty this adventure is for you. You will development skills on our low course, climbing wall, and high ropes (zip line!).

Shooting Sports Adventure ($28)
June 30, 9AM-4PM
Registration deadline: June 23
Basic archery and air rifle instruction and practice with an emphasis on SAFETY, a guest speaker and pool time. 


Art Adventure  ($45)
July 14, 9AM-4PM
Registration deadline: July 7
We will spend the day outdoors drawing inspiration from the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is a beginner level introduction into many different mediums such as clay and tie dye.

Challenge Course Adventure II ($28)
July 21, 9AM-4PM
Registration deadline: July 14                              
Must have previous experience on our high ropes course. You will hone skills on our low course, climbing wall, high ropes (zip line!) and leap of faith.

White Oak Canyon Adventure ($28) 
July 28, 8:30AM-4:30PM
Registration deadline: July 21
One of the best waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park; join us for a day of exploration, swimming and having fun.
