4-H has a long and rich history. Did you know the first 4-H clubs were formed in 1902? In that year, clubs were formed in Ohio to teach youth new farming techniques for raising corn and tomatoes. In 1910 the clover with H's was created, and in 1912 the term "4-H Clubs" was first used.
Today, 4-H is at work in every state and in 80 countries around the world. 4-H'ers learn a wide variety of things, and tackle issues like food security, childhood obesity, climate change and sustainable energy.
