The Center's camps have consistently garnered acclaim for a positive, experiential environment, with great outdoor programs and a passionate, highly skilled staff. Host your camp at the Center or enroll in one of the many camps the Center hosts each year. Our facility is open year-round and is designed for groups at affordable prices. We offer a complete line of services including handicapped accessible heated lodging, dining service, wireless internet, meeting rooms, audio-visual equipment, and recreational facilities.

2024 Camp Schedule

At the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Northern Virginia 4-H Center serves as the host site for 4-H Junior Camps (ages 9-13) and Cloverbud Camps (ages 5-8).

Campers register through their local 4-H office, though 4-H club membership is not required to attend. Contact your local Cooperative Extension Office for more information about deadlines, fees, and the registration process. We look forward to seeing your camper this summer!

Military Camps - Trek the Shenandoah Valley

Join us for a backpacking experience that offers Military youth, ages 13-18 of Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and Retired personnel a high adventure backcountry experience including: gear selection, navigation, proper food storage and preparation, site selection, camp management and basic wilderness first aid.

During the trek, opportunities abound to acquire and practice leadership skills such as communication and decision making while participating in fun teambuilding activities.

* Please note that registration will close 2 weeks prior to the camp start date unless it meets capacity before then.
